Air Compressor

1. Condensate Drainage
    
   Condensed water is easily generated during air compression. For air compressors without a drying tower, condensate tends to accumulate inside the air tank. Due to the sealed structure, prolonged exposure to high temperatures will facilitate the growth of microorganisms and bacteria, resulting in contaminated compressed air and internal corrosion of the air tank.

2. Equipment Room Layout for Air Compressors
    
   The higher the ambient temperature, the thinner the air will become, which is similar to the reduced operating efficiency of air compressors at high altitudes. This will lower the overall working efficiency, force the compressor to stay under loaded operation for longer periods, increase operational load, and generate excessive heat. Generally, the operating ambient temperature for air compressors should be controlled between 30℃ and 40℃. Long-term high-temperature exposure will damage core components, shorten service life and trigger frequent equipment failures.

3. Regular Filter Replacement
    
   Regular replacement of silencer and filter elements can extend the service life of the air compressor and maintain stable, high-quality compressed air supply in the long run. Timely filter replacement effectively prevents infections caused by bacteria and viruses. Especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic, it is critical to ensure the compressed air used in dental treatments remains clean and dry.

Suction Unit

1. Suction Pipe Cleaning

    

   After each treatment, use the strong and weak suction pipes of the dental chair to flush the negative pressure pipeline by drawing in a cup of clean water. Avoid delayed cleaning in high-temperature environments, as residual waste in pipelines will lead to massive bacterial growth. Chlorine-containing disinfectants are prohibited for cleaning; long-term use will cause irreversible damage to the equipment and shorten its service life.
    
2. Filter Cleaning

    

   It is recommended to disassemble and rinse the equipment filter on a weekly basis. This prevents filter blockage and maintains a sealed internal operating environment. High-temperature environments accelerate bacterial reproduction, which may lead to malfunction and damage of the suction system.
    
3. Safety Operation Requirements for Negative Pressure Equipment

    

   Suction units must be placed in an independent room with physical separation from air compressors. A large amount of heat will be generated during operation. Where possible, equip the room with ventilation, refrigeration and fresh air systems. The operating ambient temperature for negative pressure equipment shall be kept within the range of 5℃ to 40℃.
    
4. Outdoor Ventilation for Equipment Vents

    

   In accordance with relevant regulations, waste gas discharged by negative pressure equipment must be vented to a safe outdoor area, instead of being discharged into the clinic’s air conditioning exhaust system or ceiling space. Each piece of equipment shall be fitted with an independent exhaust pipe. The exhaust temperature can reach approximately 60℃ to 70℃, so protective measures must be taken to avoid scald injuries.
